Application Procedures

 

For US citizens and residents currently in the US

1) Take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and have your scores submitted to USF.

- We require a minimum combined verbal/quantitative score of 1000 for admission to all of our graduate degree programs.

2) Graduate School Office Admissions Application (apply online for admission to USF)

- Return to USF Graduate Admissions

- Enclose the $30 Application Fee or your application WILL NOT be processed.

3) USF Geology Graduate Application (for admission to the Geology Department

- Include 3 letters of reference to be sent to the Geology Department

- Return to the Geology Department

Deadlines: The Deadline for the USF Geology Graduate Application is February 15 for the next Fall Term. (The deadline for the Graduate School Application for admission to USF is March 15).

For Foreign Applicants currently in the US

1) Take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and have your scores submitted to USF.

- We require a minimum combined verbal/quantitative score of 1000 for admission to all of our graduate degree programs.

2) For admission to USF, fill out the online USF International Graduate Application Form from the Office of International Affairs and fill out the Financial Statement Form for Graduate Students

Please see also the "Before you Apply" and other information on all forms and data required for admission to USF.

- Return both forms to USF Graduate Admissions

- Enclose the $30 Application Fee or your application WILL NOT be processed AND

3) For admission to the Geology Department, fill out the USF Geology Graduate Application

- Include 3 letters of reference to be sent to the Geology Department

- Return to the Geology Department

For Foreign Applicants NOT in the US

1) Take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and have your scores submitted to USF.
